Graphic Design Students Association (GDSA)

GDSA unites over 600 graphic design students across HND and B.Tech programmes. The association organizes weekly design challenges, software bootcamps, community art projects, and the annual GDSA Awards Gala.

EcoBank, TTU and Forestry Commission Mark World Environment Day and Green Ghana Initiative

Takoradi Technical University (TTU), in partnership with EcoBank Ghana and the Forestry Commission, planted 100 seedlings at the University Gardens to commemorate World Environment Day and support the national Green Ghana Initiative.

The exercise brought together staff of the three institutions, who joined hands to plant seedlings on the University campus in demonstration of their shared commitment to environmental sustainability, climate action, and ecological conservation.

Graphic Design Students Association (GDSA) Annual Week

The premier student celebration featuring live design battles, keynote speaker sessions from top agency creative directors, alumni panel discussions, and the crowning of GDSA Designer of the Year.

National Inter-University Packaging Design Hackathon

TTU graphic design students competed against teams from KNUST, UCC, and UEW to solve real-world sustainable packaging challenges for local cocoa and cashew processing factories.

TTU Launches 2026 SRC Week

Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has launched its 2026 Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Week celebration with a call on students and Ghanaians to embrace the country’s cultural values as practical solutions to addressing water sustainability and sanitation challenges.

‎The celebration, themed “Our Culture, Our Heritage: Strategies for Ensuring Water Sustainability and Sanitation,” brought together university management, government officials, Members of Parliament, industry players and students to deliberate on safeguarding the environment through responsible leadership and collective action.
